November 26, 2021 - This was a bottle that was Coravined about 6+ months ago with about 3/4 remaining. Although young, I’ve always been a bit conservative when it comes to Coravined bottles and their freshness. Great sweet wine to pair with Thanksgiving food.

My first experience with Doisy-Vedrines, having only had Doisy-Daene previously. Would love to do a side by side. Tropically exotic and rich. Botrytis to the core. Pineapple upside down cake on the nose with honeyed apricots and orange marmalade. Viscous and totally giving on the palate with yellow fruit and and sweet spices. There’s not that honey roasted cashew profile I get with my favorite Sauternes, but this is a delicious and easy going wine that sports a great QPR. Room for a bit of improvement.

Also, this is evidently Barsac but labeled as Sauternes.

April 19, 2021 - Fine fat creamy delicious Sauternes that is very nicely settling into itself. Opulent style full of apricot, honey, pineapple, vanilla and orange peel, firmly (enough) supported by key lime and lightly musky botrytis.

If you prefer the zingier "old copper coin" style Sauternes this isn't for you. But if you like the ones that can give gout just by looking at them 2014 Doisy-V is great value.

Excellent Sauternes to spring on casual wine drinkers who don't know Sauternes - high yummy factor.

November 27, 2020 - What a lovely wine. The nose is full of lemon peel, apricots, and warm cantaloupe, with a hint of honeysuckle flowers. The palate is unctuously earthy, with more apricot, plus poached pears, honey, and candy apple flavors. The acidity is strong enough to stand up to the sweetness, and shows a wonderful balance throughout. I would guess it will improve with more age, but it is absolutely delicious right now!

October 24, 2020 - Pronounced nose of apricot, lemon, grapefruit, honey with slightly herbal/medicinal notes
Good acidity balancing well with the sweetness, long finish
Went well with pumpkin purée and Hen of the woods roasted mushrooms
    Outstanding
