November 10, 2018 - Lively nose of red berries, cherries, spices, and a bit of funk. Tart berries with medium+ acidity and grippy tannins in the palate. Good finish. Very sippable and fruit/spice driven, but lacking a bit of complexity. Probably best with food. Nice wine, though.

September 26, 2018 - Pretty consistent with previous note. Taken quite a step maturity wise. Deeper fruit on the nose without loosing the feather light feeling to the whole experience. Wild berries, orange-like acidity and lots of finely crushed rocks. Dark but so elegant. More to come with further cellaring, hard to beat this qpr.

May 10, 2018 - Bright vivid juicy red fruit. Delicious. Keith’s note nails it.

October 9, 2016 - I agree with GECE, acid is at the forefront with some gamey character to it, but fruit seems to be lacking. Not bad though, but I've had better and cheaper Gamay.

September 14, 2016 - Georges Descombes with Caviste (Grappe, Stockholm): Nose with red berries and some cherries, some animal and developed notes, slightly flowery. The palate is medium-bodied and berry-dominated with cherries, good acidity, well embedded tannins, and an aftertaste which first is berry-dominated and then finishes a bit more firm and apply. 87 p.

This wine is distinctly different from the 2014 Brouilly VV.

Last year I scored this wine lower and commented “So young that it is a bit difficult to evaluate next to the other wines” (which were of the 2013 vintage).

May 13, 2016 - Robe rouge claire légèrement trouble.

May 5, 2016 - Good, fruit forward and somewhat spicy. Was far better a year ago, though - acidity is getting the better of the fruit here.
