Rich, bright and full of energy , round though and smooth and one of those wines that will live longer than the Queen. A bit if harshness on the finish but a good classic port. 89

October 21, 2021 - After 20+ years this colheita port needed after opening a week or so to develop its qualities; smooth, round, soft, firm bodied, covered alcohol, but for me a bit too smooth to give more points.

January 20, 2019 - Duft af sød rødvin. Krydret smag, noter af vanilie, eg og druer. Mellem sødme, lidt til mellem syre med en snert af tanniner. Mellemfyldig krop.
Kan drikkes igen, uden at være førstevalg.

July 18, 2018 - By the glass at the BA lounge, LHR from a no clue when was opened bottle.
Nutty, rich, powerful with a lot of pronounced acidity and alcohol that almost kills the mouth feel. This is a port for not teh faint of heart and is almost teh grappa of ports. Not big fans. 86

March 27, 2018 - An airborne lunch (British Airways flight BA0006, NRT - LHR): Excellent stuff. A fascinating interplay of youthful, plummy vibrance and the nutty, spicy, richness of age.

May 11, 2017 - Deep nose and deep palate. Bark chocolate lasting minutes.

Residual autumn spice saline brandy could better integrate but this is really good (and really intoxicating).
