September 4, 2011 - Low acidity and ripe but moderate tannins have put this Grenache just over its peak. Generous fruit, however. Drink up.
March 2, 2011 - Bitter and very little pleasant flavors; maybe just way past it time.
January 26, 2009 - Really acidic. Tomato juice, maybe?
October 25, 2008 - Bitter and acidic. Could not even drink. Had to throw away. Bottle was not corked, just not good.
April 28, 2008 - All kinds of berries / cherries on the nose...mostly blueberries & blackberries, some cherries. Good fruit comes through to break up the acidity that is slightly overpowering. I like it...probably would have enjoyed it more with food, but still noticed the great fruit & acid going on (no tannin though).
September 29, 2007 - (from memory) Young, like right out of the barrel, lots of light red fruits, limited complexity
August 20, 2007 - quite different than the 04, the nose is more restrained, however the wine is still very smooth with fruit and earth, not too hot, good QPR.
May 22, 2007 - Needed to sit a bit once opened, but over time it opened up and was very nice. Light. Was great the next day also.
May 20, 2007 - Popped and poured. This wine exhibited a dark garnet/purple color. On the nose, cherries, blackberries, and licorice were accentuated with hints of spice. On the palate, flavors of cherries, blackberries, and blueberries were met with hints of earthiness and spice. Not much of a finish with smooth, soft tannins and sufficient acidity. HS87
April 5, 2007 - Extremely interesting. Affordable. Even though designation implies this to be a Grenache, it is actually 88% Alicante Bouchet. Therefore it has a strange but interesting mercury mid-palate and an odd weight that you cannot decide whether it is light or heavy. Handsell. For those wanting exposure to something different. Grilled meats. (D 6, F 5; SoPo)
