April 29, 2023 - Note: I use the recommended scale, so 85 represents a very good wine.
I have been drinking Greysac over the years, and it has always been very reliable.
This bottle was no exception.
Had this bottle at a restaurant, and so there really was no enough time to let it open fully.
I suspect the two bottle I brought home will show a bit better given a but more time.
At just over 20USD per bottle seems like a good deal to me.
Depending upon how the two I bought go, I could buy a few more.
February 21, 2023 - Open 2 hours, much better
January 24, 2023 - Nose- Smokey, and some berries.
Palate - full mouthfeel, smooth, slight acidity at edges, faint leatheriness in finish. Very good with tamales, rice, garden salad!
1-25-23 - 2nd half of the bottle tonight with chicken nuggets, Orange sauce and fried rice. Delicious!
October 9, 2022 - Heavy body, slightly tart, slightly cranberry
June 21, 2022 - Medium body, slightly tart and slightly prune
June 15, 2022 - Slightly tart and medium body
June 9, 2022 - Nose - smokey, berry mix. Palate - nice ripe berry mix. Excellent with eggplant parmesan and Romaine lettuce salad.
We really like this wine!
6/10/22 - The wine has smoothed out and opened up in the last day and is really lovely tonight. Especially with mozzarella, black olive, pineapple, bell pepper pizza with a salad of mixed baby greens croutons and balsamic dressing.
April 27, 2022 - Very nice nose of vanilla and plum. Medium body, 13.5% ABV, tannins are silky, fully integrated, balanced with savory notes of this right bank Bordeaux. Sour cherry and black fruit on the palate with a long finish. It is a bit hollow but still my kind of wine!
December 17, 2021 - Medium garnet color. Offers dark cherry, crushed gravel, coffee, molasses. Slightly lean, with dried cherry, molasses and eucalyptus on the palate. While still relatively attractive, this definitely feels like it is fading.
March 3, 2021 - Lots of good flavors. A little dull the second day but still very solid.
