February 28, 2010 - Clearly past its prime. A little oxidized and tasting a little like a dry sherry. The wine had not been properly cellared and should have been drunk several years ago. Damn!

July 25, 2008 - This wine was dark straw in color, medium intensity. Notes of vanilla, and slate, with marizpan and creamy lemon fruit. Medium in body, crisper on the palate than the nose would lead, with mouthwatering acidity melting into the finish.

November 22, 2007 - I had one glass when bottle was opened, then recorked and put back in refrigerstor for 2 days. Big improvement with time. Nose of melons, pears and butterscotch. Big fruits with a nice tinge of caramel and butterscotch on the finish.

September 26, 2007 - Nice golden yellow color. Lemon butter and butterscotch on the nose and pallete. A little heat on the mid pallete. No real change in the finish which is a flaw. At 25 there are better qpr's.

September 5, 2007 - Nose of butterscotch, brown sugar, and pear. This has a muted butter flavor and the finish falls flat. Felt this was more approachable at room temperature than at cellar temp. Overall, I can think of 100 or so chardonnays that I would rather be drinking at this price point. Drank after Series 7.

August 18, 2007 - Tropical fruits, butterscotch and butter on the nose. Apples and tropical fruit on the palate finishing with hint of oak and caramel. This was much preferred to the regular FC 2005 chardonnay this evening.

March 31, 2007 - What can I say...this is a good every day drinking wine...great price/value. It is a little acidic to start but mellows over the palate. It strikes the right balance of not being too crisp like a sauvignon blanc or too buttery like many chardonnays these days.
