Community Tasting Notes 7

December 5, 2023 - Best bottle of this yet, and sadly our last, With a little decant time some pleasantly funky notes mix with cherry and earth. On the palate a great texture to the wine, silky with some good minerality on the finish too. I think this is about at peak but would be great with another couple years on it too probably. This was a great deal from WTSO years back.

October 9, 2022 - This bottle really brought on the funk, in a good way, in the way that only older pinot can. Animalistic, sexy funk on the nose. Medium-bodied spiced raspberry on the palate. A nice medium weight Burg at its apogee about.

January 21, 2022 - This was delightful; a (seemingly) mature Burgundy on the lighter side, but with a silky texture and lots of crunchy red fruits and a hint of spice. A bit mature on the nose (some older Pinot funk, and candied tomatoes), but I like my Pinots with some bottle funk, so all the better. I have a couple of bottles left that I will try to consume over the coming few years. I do like me some mature Burgundy, but can't source and/or afford the kind of higher level examples I crave these days unfortunately.

November 11, 2021 - Drinking well, smooth and complex, too bad it’s my last bottle!

July 18, 2015 - Good for price ($35 circle liquor nj). Somewhat green nose, bright berry and underbrush. Very focused strawberry. Lean overall. Sweet midpalate, blueberry and strawberry. Long finish
