• Venice Al Does not like this wine:

  July 22, 2023 - Pale ruby with dark pink hues, medium minus body, medium plus tannins, highly acidic. Cinnamon and wood spice. Sour plums, dark berries, saline, green herbs/pine, black licorice, and overall too tart.

  June 19, 2020 - Big swing up from my last rating--why? I certainly could be at fault; but one difference this time was that the wine was consumed entirely with food, rather than partially, and it went very well with the food. So: either there was significant bottle variation, or the differences in taster circumstances have everything to do with the higher score! If food is the key, I recommend something a bit fatty (roasted potatoes with lardo!).

  September 2, 2019 - Intriguing nose, elements of tart cherry, but with a floral component. later (1-2 h in) picked up some greener notes, like crushed herbs. Could smell this all night. Lighter in body, silky on palate, more fruit here, really enjoyable and a great QPR
