June 26, 2023 - 2nd of 6 bottles. Decanted for a few hours then drunk with dinner. There is lovely red and black fruit, the wine feels balanced and drinks very easily. There is upside, will hold next bottle for a couple of years. This is great stuff and very reasonably priced.

November 20, 2022 - Decided to go back and try this which was the first vintage of TSC that I bought. That was a great discovery at the price i got it for (less than 30 dollars) and then the 2015, 2016 and 2018 came out and it seemed that each was better than the prior. After now just recently receiving and tasting the 2019, I wanted to go back and try this again. I have one more of these in normal size and 2 more magnums. Wow, this has evolved tremendously since the last time i tasted it. Coravin pour of half the bottle into mini decanter. Lovely ruby color. Gorgeous aroma of smoke, cedar, mocha and dark red fruit. On first taste, it's saying "give me some air". Three hours later, it is dinner time and it just keeps opening up beautifully with . 93 for now but could go higher. Great example of 2014 St. Emilion with good Cab Franc. Incredible QPR. Wish I had more but those magnums will be nice to have in the future. I'm glad to be a collector of this wine which is my namesake of sorts. The 15 is more fruit forward as are many 15s, the 16 is incredible with its structure but needs time. The 18 will be a contender along with the 16 for longevity. The 19 I tasted this week for the first time and its a bit less clear but also great. Would like to taste the 2017 with this Chateau always seeming to make the very best of every vintage. The 14 has a very long pleasant mix of fruit like cherry and dark berries with some mint and licorice. I think these wines will age well and the QPR is just outstanding year after year.

Addition: Drank about half of this bottle with dinner of pasta with veggies and chopped roast chicken in Al Freddo sauce. It paired so well, the wine just keeps getting better the longer it is open. With a bit of chocolate for dessert, also lovely. I am loving the 2014 vintage and this wine in particular makes me so happy as I feel like I'm drinking something so expensive AND I'm NOT. I also realize I have THREE mags left not two. Yay!! raising the score perhaps just for all that. 94+

November 4, 2022 - Decanted for about one and a half hours. That worked well. It is drinking very well right now.

May 29, 2022 - After a one hour decant, I found it disappointing. After two hours, it was good. After three hours, I thought it was outstanding! It had really opened up. For the remainder of my half-case, I will be sure to decant at least three hours.
