March 19, 2021 - Deep, rich, complex nose of cherries, blueberries, graphite. Medium tannins, long finish. Very nice.

February 22, 2021 - Opened last night. Still very young. But shows it’s promise. Dark red with a lighter rim, though still opaque. Lots of glycerine. Showing mostly graphite and minerals in both nose and mouth, this needs a good 8-10 years to fully reveal its charms. Still, shows some candy-like red fruit even now with sufficient air. 5-12-17-9: 93/100.

December 27, 2020 - Decanted 7 hrs. Expressive notes of Xmas plums and black currants, with a lot of structure on the palate. While clearly needing time, this offers just enough to pull a cork today, but better to hold.

November 21, 2020 - Opened and bouquet was roses. Fruit was tight but knew it would open up. It did. Blackberry, plum, black cherry. Tobacco, wet cigar box. A mineral backbone. After 1 1/2 hours it closed down. But then reopened. Paired with lamb loins, mushrooms, and spinach. But then...I made a puree of roasted cauliflower, sunchokes, onion, celery. Then added steamed chestnuts! Wow. perfect paring. What we learned is that we could steam chestnuts and have it with this wine. So chestnuts goes with right bank Bordeaux! This wine will only get better But is great now.

October 18, 2020 - Needs another 3-5 years, but definitely buy it if you can find it. Dark plum, cranberry, burnt orange peel, wet leaves, vanilla
