March 14, 2023 - PnP. Ruby, medium transparent. Youthful looking. Muted red fruit nose. Tannic, thin, bright red fruit taste. Opened up a bit over time. Not sure about this.

March 4, 2023 - Last tasted 3 years ago, and it has developed in the interim and has started to display Pomerol characteristics. It really punches above its weight and is relatively good value for money. I also feel the wine has a structure to keep at this level for the next decade. There is no real need to decant.

November 22, 2022 - Decanted for a short time (there's a little fine sediment, so decanting is definitely recommended).

Lovely deep colour, and plenty of warm fruit on the nose. On the palate it's a classic right-bank Merlot-dominated wine, very complete and fruit-driven but with plenty of underlying structure. Satisfying and elegant on the finish.

Really very good indeed for this price point.

July 17, 2022 - Opened tonight (PNP). Blood red, quite opaque. Weak legs. Pretty gutsy nose, with earth, raspberry, and floral aromas; very primary but developing. Big bruiser in the mouth, on the rustic side, with tannin on the sharp side and noticeable oak and alcohol. Not terribly enjoyable, at least not on PNP. Still needs quite a bit of time--five years at least, and I hope the fruit can survive that long. 4-11-14-8: 87/100.

April 5, 2022 - A very different experience to the last bottle. Young, green vegetable tastes. Round, but only quite enjoyable.
Will try again tomorrow eve after 24 hours vacvin’d…. Much more together and enjoyable on Eve 2. On the showing of this bottle suggest trying again in Spring 23.

October 31, 2021 - Rabbit decanted. Nice. Complete and ready. Tannins resolved, enough fruit, a hint of gameyness? To my surprise I wonder if Puygeraud of the same year (14, cheaper) is the more interesting and substantial wine?

    July 9, 2021 - Deep Ruby
👃Not decanted. The 2014 opens up beautifully with black fruit forward notes of blackcurrants, and hints of strawberries and raspberries. The attack are berries. Swirling and introducing some air reveals some vanilla and warm spices like nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon at mid palate. Finishing with hints of dark chocolate.
👅 Full bodied, medium intensity and bright acidity. Smooth, silky tannins. Well structured. Long finish. Rich, complex and elegant. Ready to drink now.

March 12, 2021 - Deep colour, quite opaque. I didn't decant it, but it would have been better to have done so - there's some very fine sediment.

Excellent, complex nose of warm fruit and a hint of chocolate. Rich on the palate, with excellent length. It's still quite tannic on the finish, but approachable with food.

For the price point, really quite exceptionally good. If you like vigorous, young claret, this is good to go but I think it has much further to develop; I expect it to be even better in a couple of years' time.

June 24, 2020 - Having six of these, I thought it time to try one. Far too early.
Not one year as suggested by one contributor but at least five. But I did find a typical right bank perfume of dark fruit and plenty of delicious fruit in the mid palate overlain with still harsh tannins and acidity. Could be a stunner in 2025 even 2030. Sorry if you're too impatient to wait.
