August 19, 2020 - Still rather young, not a pop'n'pour- I promise disappointment if you do.
We let it breathe for 4 hours at 63 degrees and decanted and it got it to a nice place. Little to no nose, but the taste was invigorating: black licorice and cigar box/tobacco with dark, dark fruit that was neither restrained or overwhelming. Just shy of robust with just a touch of elegance, but not a timid wine. Great pairing with grilled ribeye.
Wish we had either bought more or waited another year or two.
Easily a 90. Spouse said 90.5 but just shy of 91.

June 21, 2020 - Dark rubt color. Decant for 1.5 hrs. Strong notes of blackberry, raspberry, currant, licorice, green pepper. Jammy fruit. Tart black and red fruit on the palate. A greenness to it. Not bad but definitely young.

April 22, 2020 - This was so pretty and enjoyable @ 13.5% abv. Black fruit and vanilla on the nose with cigar box notes. With ripe black fruit and leather across the palate. And a delicious, long finish, with exact balance supported by ripe supple tannins. Very well done.
I continue to thoroughly enjoy these mid-level prized gems from Pessac-Leognan.

January 16, 2020 - Decanted for 30'. Deep ruby, black core, fast running tears @13.5% abv. Black fruit, cigar box and parchment on the nose. Dry,medium(+) acidity, medium tannin, medium alcohol and medium(+) body. Palate of black fruit, cherry, leather, mineral(?), lead pencil. Elegant and slightly austere. Good length with bitter-dry finish displaying ripe tannins.
I keep coming back to the monastic and muscular style of Pessac-Leognan.
