December 25, 2023 - Christmas pairing. 1) Willett Family Estate Bottled Single-Barrel 8 Year Old Straight Rye Whiskey 2) 2014 Chateau L'Eglise-Clinet 3) 2018 Turley Zinfandel Old Vines. The Bordeaux showed very well. It strangely reminded me of the Clos Apalta imbibed the day before, but this was not closed down. I picked up mint on the finish. This was a very early test of the 2013 intended to be laid down for much longer; I am really pleased with the results.

December 16, 2023 - A sucky vintage they say. This wine was singing harmonious notes. Fragrant an beautiful but still muted I would think. Gave it two hours of air in the bottle. No decant unfortunately. But the palate. Oh man. Super smooooooth. Tannins are there but they are crazy soft. Acidity is subtle yet still creates moisture in my mouth. U don’t need food for this “big “ wine. It can drink well on its own. If you have a few pop one U will be happy. Guaranteed. What a pleasure. Would’ve gotten higher score if it had a stronger nose but then again I’m more of a taster than a smeller. Geeez this was a good wine. 95 plus more than likely. I’m just a hater.

November 17, 2023 - A more reserved style at work here, which is more expressive on the nose with its dried flower, leafy tobacco, truffle, and plummy edge, than on the restrained palate, with its chalky edge that accompanies its wealth of plum, cherry, and chocolate. Drink from 2023-2040.

May 20, 2023 - It served in the 520 party among 13 btls. It served almost in the last bottle and all almost got drunk and had no tasting notes.
