    January 31, 2023 - Again in a half-bottle.

As per my previous two notes, this is absolutely gorgeous. It's lost that attractive youthful freshness I noted in 2020, but it's gained in complexity and depth, with strong notes of Seville orange and a wonderful nose. The colour is getting quite dark: you'd easily mistake this for Rieussec both in appearance and on the palate, but I think it's even better than many vintages of Rieussec. No reason to keep this: just enjoy!

October 30, 2022 - Somewhat one-dimensional, superficial sweetness. I wished for a little more acid. OK.

October 26, 2022 - Not cloying sweet. Bright, medium weight. Jived perfectly with a coconut cream pie. Did well with brownie a la mode. Also nice by itself. And was a good accompaniment to a goat cheese-pecan-lightly dressed salad first course. Versatile

August 19, 2022 - Crushed flowers and candied pineapple on the nose with subtle citrus peel. Great balance of sugar and acid. Medium finish with more floral and citrus notes. Very nice.

May 30, 2021 - Confirmation of my previous note (May 2020). This wine is quite gorgeous, with a wonderful balance of sweetness and acidity supporting complex floral and fruity notes of ripe peach and orange. Very strongly recommended.

    May 10, 2020 - First of a dozen half-bottles bought on release.

This is just gorgeous. The nose is superb - botrytis, a little honey, an intriguing citrus (perhaps more citrus peel) note. On the palate it is moderately rich and sweet, but extremely well balanced with a concentrated mid-taste giving good grip, and ending on a long aftertaste in which neither sweetness nor acidity dominate.

If you have a cellar full of older fine Sauternes and Barsacs, then this one will wait, and probably improve even further. But if you don't, no need to feel guilty about enjoying it now.

January 4, 2020 - En pleine forme, très riche mais avec une pointe d’acidité lui apportant fraîcheur. Bon jeune Sauternes déjà très plaisant.
