August 15, 2021 - My favorite of the 3 CA pinots tonight. Dusky cherry and plum on the nose. On the palate, it starts out a bit muted but wakes up over half an hour. Lots of CA sunshine in the fruit, but not over the top. Black cherry, plum, wet earth, and still discernible spine of chalky-mineral structure. Lacks a bit of elegance, but good depth and balanced on the finish. Drinking nicely for but don’t see it evolving much.

May 11, 2021 - This is still a decent wine but like the last one I opened, has become somewhat of a dud. It doesn't add anything to make up for the lack of vibrance or elegance I was hoping for. Dull, almost washed out plum with some background fruit, some herbs and earth. In a single word I'd describe it as "tired". The wine declined with air over the course of a few hours. Not a bad wine, not a great wine. I loved this wine closer to its release and feel each of 6 bottles were less impressive as I opened them.

February 18, 2019 - Immediately..... it is strikingly bright, and then at mid palette it becomes creamier and just so much more in mouth texture. Fruits are reserved and this wine is much more defined by by complex flavors of bramble and forest floor. It has a lively acidity which needs more time to resolve. Hold another 1-2 years.
