July 1, 2020 - For a $32 wine, I can’t ask for much, but after having an excellent Markham blend, and looking at the location of the winery in St Helena, I was hoping for much more. Thinking this 2012 would be the perfect drinking age and an excellent year, I was let down. The others who stated drinkability 2014-2018 peak may sadly be correct. Lighter and more one dimensional than your typical Napa Cab. This states barrel aged 2 years but I don’t taste it.

November 19, 2019 - Full bodied, structured, and savory, with earthy, dark fruit, decayed leaves, and a whiff of dank basement on the nose. It took about three hours to open up, turning plump and succulent, shedding the dank, and allowing the fruit to take center stage. A shot of espresso lingered on the finish. Nicely done.
