April 26, 2015 - From memory, so no detailed notes. I bought this bottle since Ochagavia is probably one of the top (if not the top) QPR wineries in Chile, and thought this could beat similarly priced Cabernet offerings.

The greatest mistake I made with this wine was underestimate its maturity - it is not ready to provide much pleasure today. Probably it can be consumed with lots of decanting (which I didn't have the time to do), but I'd rather let it rest a bit. It has a typical Cabernet nose, but it's a middleweight wine with harsh tannins at the moment. I'd rather buy from Chile the Marques de Casa Concha cab sauvignon from Concha y Toro at this price point. 89-90 pts., with maybe the potential to add one point more.
