November 3, 2018 - Added into the Trotanoy vertical blind.

Nose: Lit cuban cigar, tobacco, blackberry, black cherry and some roasted herb notes. Obviously not Trotanoy, but gorgeous nonetheless. Palate: Dark fruited personality with gorgeous mineral tones. Such a different style to the Trots, but seductive.

I guessed 82 and was correct, but this had me leaning towards St. Emilion with the mineral and herb notes. Lovely pomerol in a completely different style than the Troty.

November 3, 2018 - Slipped into the Trotanoy vertical as a blind wine, the most obvious thing about this from the get-go was that it was not Trotanoy! The fruit is all black fruit here; blackberry, black cherry with an animal, mineral, smoky, very slightly herbal personality. Such a different style to the Trots and pretty ravishing in its own way. We all liked it a lot. My guess was 1975 or 1982 Pomerol as it wasn't as lush as some 82s nor as hard as some 75s (and certainly it seemed neither younger nor older).

October 10, 2018 - Semi-transparent dark garnet with rim variation of soft red raspberries, medium fast tears. Earthy plump juicy jammy leather cigar and tobacco perfumes; fresh earth. Thick, plump, moderately intense, anise and terroir elegant, firm, medium long plus finish, medium-full bodied. Pomerol tin metallic nose...Ceres is particularly sensitive to this metallic nose, this is the lead pencil most refer to but i find lead too soft a description for this.

July 29, 2018 - Plum colour, not brown, substantial leathery nose, minty leathery not complex palate, short dry finish; still very lovely.

May 26, 2018 - Apply fruit with a nick of spice. Some cjnnamon scents but not much of an aroma. This was perfectly good to drink but not a standout relative to its flightmates or the rest of the wines tonight, so that's all I have to say about that

(Certan de May) This was a very nice wine albeit a but predictable. Good balance, nice concetration, and everything in perfect balance but for me lacked a certain excitement. Many others will probably freak out about a wine like this but I thought it was rather uninispiring. Chocolate, vivid plum/dark cherry fruit with lots of glycerin and some aged flavors. Not as opulent as something like Lafleuer or Fleur de Gay. Nice finish that pumped out some nice fruit. I don't know. Just didn't work for me tonight.
