February 2, 2024 - A fantastic 82 with truffle, perfume, red fruit, cassis and Asian spice. The wine was fully resolved with vibrancy and layers. Drinking fantastically.

December 25, 2023 - Delicious but starting to fade. Not much fruit left, forest floor, mushrooms, tobacco. Acidity is M and tannins are M-. Moderate fini9sh with some fig jam.

November 26, 2023 - This is fully mature and only needs decanting to remove any sediment. The initial nose is out of this world, and worthy of a perfect rating, with deeply sensuous aromas. The palate displays tobacco and chocolate, with earthy undertones and is well balanced and complex. The end palate and finish were very tannic, and for myself distracted from the whole tasting experience.

July 13, 2023 - Really tasty mature 82 Bordeaux. Dark red fruits, truffles, hints of leather and cedar, lavender. Balanced and fully resolved, Long finish. Glad to have a couple more. Not fading like some 82's.

December 10, 2022 - Beautifully mature and complex with plenty of cedar, earth and wet tobacco nuances. Palate is medium bodied and starting to lose it's punch. End of its peak window.

10/29/2007 (link)(Certan de May) This was a very nice wine albeit a but predictable. Good balance, nice concetration, and everything in perfect balance but for me lacked a certain excitement. Many others will probably freak out about a wine like this but I thought it was rather uninispiring. Chocolate, vivid plum/dark cherry fruit with lots of glycerin and some aged flavors. Not as opulent as something like Lafleuer or Fleur de Gay. Nice finish that pumped out some nice fruit. I don't know. Just didn't work for me tonight.
