March 30, 2022 - Past its prime
March 3, 2022 - Decent, a little simpler than more recent vintages
February 10, 2022 - Possibly a bad bottle? No prior experience with the wine, so cannot be certain. The wine in this bottle, however, is hollow, woody and earthy, nary a trace of fruit. Not repugnant and undrinkable, but not worth drinking either. Dull, lifeless, no pleasure to be had drinking it.
December 23, 2021 - Drinking very nice. Cherry and cooked strawberry, and some musky blue fruits I couldn’t quite place. Smooth tannins.
April 10, 2021 - Beautiful wine. Drink now!
November 16, 2020 - Heavy musky oaky nose. A big Pinot with modest cherry and a bit heavy acid.
July 11, 2020 - Nice modest cherry nose. Well balanced with nice fruit, musk and tannins.
January 21, 2020 - Very light in color with a delicate nose .
Agree with previous note that the palate is all cherry. The fruit just bursts out. But there isn’t much of a follow through so it seems a little one dimensional. However the fruit was so enjoyable it didn’t really matter much
This stood out from other TM wines since in my experience they tend to be a little more earthy.
Day 2- became a little more interesting. The finish was a little longer with a nice addition of spice.
August 18, 2019 - In the glass, it is a very pretty translucent ruby color. Gorgeous aromatics of rose petal, peppered red plum, bright black cherries and sweet cherries jubilee. Bit of a disconnect between the aromatics and the palate...overload of red cherries, tart black cherries, tar, and an herbal twang...oregano like. Hardly any acidity here, but it’s actually semi tannic driven at the finish. Very much OR in style and not Cali-like. Not sure it’s getting better.
July 28, 2018 - IPNC Weekend 2018; 7/26/2018-8/2/2018 (Linfield College, McMinnville, OR): Tasted. This still has a good nose, but the palate was dead and gone with heat and virtually no fruit. OTH, at least this one.
