Community Tasting Notes 5

February 23, 2020 - Superb Auslese. I agree with the previous note. This needs time and the sweetness slightly overpowers the acidity. Lots of layers of difderent citrus, papaya, peach, honey. Wait 5-10 years before drinking!

October 9, 2019 - Beautiful fruit notes with great mineral touch. Very nice acidity too. Sweetness is a bit to dominant in the moment. A great wine but I won’t touch my other bottles in the next ten years.

April 21, 2019 - Too young and needs more time to develop. It’s not as precise as those 5-10 years older. Having said this, it’s already a good wine with lots of natural honey and food acidity. I was missing the minerality from the Mosel slates

March 12, 2017 - Clear medium greene core and pale rim, developing

Nose is clean, medium+ intens aromas of peach, orange, honey, nectar, tropical fruit, apple tart, slate, deep complexity, developing

Palate is sweet, high acidity, low alcohol and pronounced body and flavour intensity with aromas of lemon/lemon tarte, peach, nectar, tropical fruit, slate, pinapple, apples, long finish

This one of the best auslese i've ever tasted, razor sharp acidity, amazing concentration and balance, intense aromas and deeeep complexity, lenght is superb. This has been decanted for 24 hours, and this has a very long potential for agening. Outstanding quality, 95-96p

April 10, 2016 - 95+ pts: Had at contemporary Indian restaurant Rasa with some spicy dishes. Very young, a light yellow hue with maybe a touch of green, not what I expected in an auslese. Great concentration of flavors, great precision, crisp acidity to balance the sweetness. Mango, crushed rocks, other tropical fruits and a hint of citrus. Good alone, GREAT with food.
