October 9, 2016 - Pretty sure this bottle was flawed...smelled like fermenting watermelon and actually felt carbonated on the palate. I think the fairest description of this wine is moldy sangria.
June 17, 2016 - Big red fruit nose, redcurrant and strawberry. It’s crunchy and quite ripe on the entry, like a cherry cola and sour cranberries. Becomes much drier on the middle, the tannins and flavour reminiscent of a cup of tea. Quite savoury at the back of the palate, very dry with a little toasty note lingering on the finish.
May 2, 2016 - A little too restrained for my taste. Hard to tell the varietals. Little expression of the site. Drinkable and a nice wine but not in the higher extracted style I prefer.
April 14, 2016 - Lightish ruby color, with just a touch of haze. Nice nose of watermelon, pomegranate, red cherries. Light-bodied and somewhat tart on the palate, with red-fruit flavors leading over some earthy spice flavors, very pleasant. Finishes quickly with some grip and low tannins. Fun and delicious. Could improve with age.
January 8, 2016 - I enjoyed the 2013 more than this. Good everyday wine. Juicy and incredibly aromatic. Unpretentious. Like biting into the juiciest black plum.
November 22, 2015 - A real gluggable wine. Intense grapey nose, brings to mind Lapierre's Raisins Gaulois. Fruity palate, dark-shaded, with a touch of initial prickle. Though dark on the palate the body is light and joyful. The only serious note is some intense minerality on the finish. $45 at the Red Hen.
October 7, 2015 - Really great vintage for this wine. Showing a great through line to the Josephine and Mariposa.
Plums, liquorice, sweet herbs, slight effervescence. Brambly midpalate fruit. Ends with some serious grip. Would be great with some charcuterie! Great value this one is.
