January 1, 2016 - last of 24 and the best - medium red, browning; nice plum and earth bouquet, not in the least vegetal as was usually the case 5 years ago; medium bodied, decent length, nice acid lift rather than former angularity, decent balance, probably time to drink up, though I was surprised how well this bottle showed against Figeac 98. Very good plus (16.5/20).

    January 31, 2015 - 2 bottles
1st bottle. Nose suggested a bit of decay, but developed nicely. Color still burgundy reddish with copper rim. Taste developed hugely from strong pepper (almost cork like as well)to well balanced, nicely structured reasonably rich and long.
2nd bottle. Much more accessible nose, color further developed towards coper tones. Taste was definitely less interesting compared to the first bottle. Flat, not very rich in structure but still long.

March 31, 2013 - deep red with hints of purple still. Nose chocolate with dusty tannins. A bit four square. Well balanced on palate but again a bit blunt and lacking finesse and ffreshness. Decent wine.

September 21, 2012 - Medium ruby, age shows on the rim and in the color that starts to tend towards brown. Initially very dirty barnyard in the nose; then clearing. Soft, sweet, pleasant secondary characteristics, tobacco (ash+cigar), but also ripe red fruits. Rather monolithically, little complexity. Less unripe grassy '94-tones than last time. Thicker on the palate than one would expect from 1994 and more integrated tannins. This bottle would have lasted at least 5-7 years longer and I think by then the unripe notes + tannins will have disappeared and integrated. Still 5 bottles left, so let's see over the next few years. Very good value for money.

July 8, 2012 - Did not make notes when drinking but wine had a ackward nose that improved in time, bit thin on the palate but overall still enjoyable. Drink up.

February 26, 2012 - garnet with a slight orange rim. Nose of an aged Bordeaux-tobacco, anise, aged meat. Taste was completely Bordeaux, resolved tannins, slight acid on the end. Tobacco, tertiary Bordeaux. Nice for the year, but drink up.
