December 29, 2021 - High pitched cranberry, slight orange citrus and mineral nose. Light to medium weight. Finishes with an intense and unusual kumquat flavor with good bitterness and acidity.

October 30, 2020 - Opened this to get a sense of how these wines might age. Stood up for 1 week, decanted for 1 h then back into bottle. Aromas of herbs, woody stems, brown leaves, green stems, earth and red cherries. A seamless, beautiful palate with green stems, herbs, cherries and a bit of earth. A bit of volatile acids that are in the background and add to the complexity. Nice long finish. Elegant mouthfeel with excellent acids, as always. The wines has put on a bit of weight from its youth but has also gained in complexity. This has been ageing nicely. Unfortunately my last bottle. Will have to experiment with some other vintages to see if aging up to 10 years will be worth it. But at least for now, drinking nicely at age 7. 92+

May 5, 2019 - Drunk alongside a pair of '06s (Rollin IdV and ABC Sanford&Benedict) it showed its typical earthy character with lightweight red fruit and balanced acidity. Very lovely and so distinct from the others yet so much in common with them.

December 12, 2018 - Lovely... Light red fruit with solid spicebox frame. Plenty of acid, soft tannin. No sign of age.

November 3, 2018 - Decanted for 1.5h. Initially tart cherry and cranberries with a hint of herbs. Now 1.5 h later, aromas of red cherries, raspberries, herbs, flowers, bark, hint of baking spices and earth. Palate is more tart cherries and cranberries but rounded and less austere than one might expect. Accompanied by herbs, flowers, and a bit of earth. Mild tannins on midpalate. Light bodied and elegant. Long lingering finish. Like this quite a bit.

April 28, 2018 - Wow-what a deal for under $30. Light and fresh. Floral aromatics. Rose and cherry dominate the palate.

April 17, 2018 - At first very lean and tart. With air shows some strawberry red fruit scents mixed with stemmy twig, spice, and floral notes. Lots of acid, not much fruit, very little extract or tannin left, not much of interest on the palate. Better with food, which smooths out the acidity. If this bottle is representative, this was probably not meant to age and would have been better a couple years ago.

April 5, 2018 - Fantastic showing... Perfumed... Floral / rose, sea spray, leather and dried spice. Tons of pop, sweet fruit integrated with a mineral backbone. Lovely. Seafood friendly this night and a winner all around the table.

March 26, 2018 - Bright, tart, light weight, cranberry. Lovely, fresh cool zone pinot. Worth the hype? Not sure but very pleasant.

November 20, 2017 - Purchased about 40 miles from the domaine and this bottle was much better than the last I had maybe a year and a half ago. Yes some of the ripe, chewier fruit has fallen off and while it's not as gulpable as it was in its youth, it's grown into a very elegant drink. Still tons of acidity but I do worry that the way it's shedding fruit it could enter into shrill territory in the near future. Especially for bottles that made a transatlantic journey. Aromatics remind me of cool vintage Oregon but with much more of a soil profile and are very pretty.
