April 3, 2019 - MASTER CHAMPAGNE; 1/28/2019-4/30/2019 (WESTIN PALACE MILANO): Degustato alla cieca. Annata 2011. 3 g/l (deg. 07/2017)
Caldo, pieno, sudista e un filo tostato. Frutta soda in cui si sente già un filo di maturità. Mineralità chiara scintillante e luminosa. Poi la crosta del pane e la legna arsa. Bel naso.
Bocca perfettamente coerente, sferica, voluminosa, ma sorretta dal sale e lo eleva e lo rende persistente. La dolcezza dello sviluppo al cioccolato nero acidulo è la degna conclusione di un vino dal grande potenziale, ancora troppo giovane e da domare. Bella interpretazione spontanea, tonica e brillante di un millesimo complicato. -

January 1, 2019 - Apple, apricot, baking spice, smoke and some faint toast on the nose. Nicely persistent mousse. Quite dry with moderate acidity. Perfectly pleasant and very good with sushi but on its own seems to be lacking a bit. I would wish for a bit more zip and oomph to be frank but to end on a positive note the drinkability is high as the bottle did not last for long.
