December 29, 2021 - Purchased on the secondary market. Pulled the cork and became immediately concerned, almost no cork discoloration tells me this was probably stored vertically. Took sips at 1, 1.5, 2 and 3 hrs. I don’t know if this bottle was off or if this is really what this is after 9 yrs. It wasn’t bad, it simply wasn’t good. Not corked, off bottle? No improvement with air. 88 is generous.

July 11, 2021 - Decanted the wine one hour before pouring. It really opened up over the course of the night. The last sip was the best. There were notes of raspberry jam and smoked meat on the palate. This was my first experience with this wine, and I enjoyed it. I would buy again.

December 25, 2020 - Last Christmas wine. Deep dark red color, dark mountain fruits and great floral notes on the initial nose. Then, over 20 minutes in glass, pencil shavings and wet cement came through. Love the wine and its idyllic spot in Napa

October 17, 2020 - Enjoyed after a 2 hour decanting. A bit soft on the nose with full flavors of black fruit and nicely integrated tannins across the mid-palate. Bold finish with a nice dark fruit flavors. Given the soft nose, I would recommend shorter decanting time. Still a terrific wine at this point and thoroughly enjoyed!
