January 15, 2023 - Muscular PN, dense chewy fruit. No off notes, but a bit unbalanced. Prefer more elegance in my PN

April 8, 2022 - This wine is lovely. Best descriptor I can think of. Bright red fruit, bouquet of flowers - violet and rose - and hint of clean earth. Med + acidity, med - tannin, and high - alcohol. Well balanced and very pretty.

April 29, 2020 - didn't really love it as much as the CT/pro scores would indicate. lacking in fruit and the warm vintage showed thru. Aromatics were nice but didn't have a ton of pinot character on the palate.

    March 10, 2017 - Pretty good.

  • WMWG Does not like this wine: 75 points

August 18, 2016 - Save yourself $30 and just go buy a decent Chinon...

Tasted Blind: High toned dark fruit with some underlying red fruit and a prominent stalky/ green leafy note showing up on the nose. This shows dirt, mud, and autumnal notes with less tension.

The palate is full and rich with dense dark fruit. There is a candied aspect that comes through on the backside and clashes with the re-emerging stalky note on the finish. This also shows some alcoholic heat and a campfire note on the railing end of the finish.

Poor - maybe this is just in a weird spot, I hope so
