  February 8, 2017 - Needs food and time to open. I didn't decant this but it would certainly benefit from it. Served with breaded pork cutlets and Brussels sprouts with bacon. The fat and proteins smoothed out the tannins and then the fruit really can through. Good mystery case find from Garagiste.

  May 11, 2016 - This is what Rimmerman does so well. He finds these unusual takes on a known varietal/region and blows me away. It's really hard to define in oenophile terms, but in layman speak, I will say the nose does not stray from the palate it has some varietal character. The dominant Grenache seems to be overshadowed by the combination of Mourvèdre Syrah and Cinsault. I don't know. But I do know if I were in Arles or Avignon I would be floored by this, primary because it tastes like nothing else and it tastes good. It tastes like the Rhone. Wine is alive and every bottle is a different expression. Coq au vin anyone? This was the first of the Garagiste spring thing, might it mature into something else? I hope so, the palate is a little disjointed, but it hung around and got better after 24 hours and that bodes well. I just love this visit from another place. Makes me want to get on a plane...
