October 5, 2020 - Medium to dark yellow gold turning transparent at the rim. There are subtle whiffs of white flowers amidst apricot, pineapple and honeysuckle on a bed of lemongrass. At seven years of age and with some oak aging (likely), there’s a medium minus acidity that carries the spine. All that plus the lack of minerality dismiss all notions that this may come from the Old World, but then perhaps it’s not what the producer is going for. And yet there’s a decent, subdued finish that’s very elegant. Quite a versatile, graceful drink, which makes it attractive in its own way. This is a crowd pleaser. Drink now until 2028.

December 4, 2019 - Such a terrific style: more restrained, less oak-forward than some California Chardonnays I've had lately. I used to drink a lot more Domaine Drouhin. I should start again: This has aged nicely and is drinking beautifully now! Gets really good as it warms from fridge/cellar temperature after 30-40 minutes in the glass. Rich yellow and green fruits, a hint of funk as the wine warms up, light oak...perfect balance. Very nice.

November 12, 2016 - A very complex chardonnay coming from 20+ year old vines. The nose is inviting - lightly floral honeysuckle. Loads of fruit with a bit more than a hint of oak, but not overly so. Bright and crisp up front with a super long finish of toasty vanilla and cardamom. Holds up well with food (roasted chicken tonight) but delightful on its own merits. Worth the price for this quality chardonnay.
