August 14, 2021 - Tar and leather; smooth currant; fully integrated; silky and smooth; long sweet elegant finish.

June 21, 2021 - Opened in 2021 (40 years old). Beautiful old age wine color. Strong Raspberry, plums, leather fragrance. Cherry, sour, dry, low alcohol, frontal gripping tannins still there.

May 31, 2021 - Leather is what comes to mind in the nose, with some mellow plum aromas. Round, still fresh on the palate, with very well-integrated tannins, cherries, more leather, earthy notes, some black tea. Very good still - and definitely a treat.

February 27, 2021 - Excellent old cordier era Gruaud Larose. Cedary with dark berries, leather, charcuterie and smokey herbs. Fully mature wine in a sleeper vintage. Personally I slightly prefer the 1980.

February 23, 2021 - Blinded, and initial whiff of smoke, green pepper, mushroom, and tea. Some mellow dark fruit notes, with pepper, and cocoa powder. Complex, delicious. wow. I was pretty sure it was a mid 2000s Loire Cab Franc. Nope. 30 years off. Dang. Lovely lovely stuff.
