September 18, 2017 - Six months should not make this much of a difference so I don't know if the first bottle had travel shock or some other malady, but this bottle is much, much better. All the elements, even the alcohol, are in greater balance to each other. The nose, although still demure has added florals and spice with the red berry. Biggest drawback is still the heat, resulting in an overweight body. But it also now comes across as having a few years of good drinking ahead of it. Go figure 5+9+14+7= 85

March 10, 2017 - Notes after following for 6 hours open. Medium ruby color with a wide rim and clear, slow legs. No sediment. Minuscule nose, as I was only able to coax a little cherry cola and oak out of it. The palate is weak on fruit, has nicely resolved tannins and decent acidity, but it is destroyed by the alcoholic burn. Very boozy, and I don't get any benefit from aeration nor do I have much faith in its future. 5+7+9+6= 77
