June 15, 2017 - Fresh, somewhat lean, dry white with good finesse. Bright acidity. Interesting combination of herbal notes with light flowers. Refreshing and a nice change from the normal. Reminds me of Canadian examples I had in the 1990's... but this is more refined. Very good.

March 29, 2016 - Accidentally got this wine at the winery, they accidentally gave me this instead of the Pinot Gris on checkout.... What a fortuitous accident! This wine is very unique for USA, and the varietal is worthy of saving if it has this profile more often than not. Mostly clear with a slight pale tinge. Peach, green apple, and honeydew melon on the nose, with white peach, lime, and a minerality that lingers, and an acidity that electrifies these flavors, but does not overpower. The wine is very reminiscent of good trocken style German Riesling or Austrian Gruner, a style hard to find in the USA made this good in this dry style. I hope Adelsheim keeps this wine up, I will be a loyal follower!

August 4, 2015 - Very pale yellow-green. Nose: big on the Honeydew melon, plus hay. White pepper, bit of cantaloup. Bit of vanilla bean. Palate: medium bodied, but high on acidity and cut. Dusting of astriginency. Interesting mouthfeel, almost a bit tannic - likely some skin/stem/seed extraction here.. Starfruit, vanilla, limestone. Strong Grapefruit. White pepper here, too. Tad bit of honeysuckle. Finish: the citrus turns lime here, and the acid takes a step up and washes the softer flavors away. Overall a nice, bright wine. Enjoyed with oysters, Squid ink Tobiko, and tropical spicy salad. Not much of a value at $24 but a quality wine.
