January 7, 2022 - round rich and waxy wine on the palate, still quite young as the ripeness of fruit is very much at the forefront. Very much in the Marcassin style. The oak is still prominent on the frame of the wine. Really big chardonnay. I've had examples of older bottlings where the oak frame is still there but the fruit disappeared, wonder how this will go, seems to have significant stuffing to go stay with the oak as it hopefully integrates.

January 3, 2022 - 90 min in the glass and this is still quite closed and youthful; this is a massive wine and I don’t get all the hype but since I’m on the mailing list, what the heck. Don’t get me wrong, this is good and it’s aging potential is solid. Overall, a solid wine and If you are lucky enough to get these on release yippee but don’t pay secondary prices. Probably in its prime with a few years left on these.

September 10, 2021 - 2021 Athens Wine Event , An event to make up for the last 2 years (Spondi , Athens): Served blind ( Nicol picked it up as new world Chardonnay while Andreas struggled to place is )
Big wine , rich and with a proper smoky , toasty nose to the point that Guigal Ex Votto was floated as an idea. The nose was spectacular for sure, very expressive and albeit impacted by the oak use the wine carried the oak very well. Rich, oily, waxy on the palate , stone fruits, richness and ripeness of fruit and a lot of length here. Huge mouthful of a wine. 94

August 31, 2021 - Rich, round, plush, and loaded with ripe green apples, pears, lemons and vanilla. The finish is long, energetic and loaded with fruits and touches of spice. The wine continues to taste and feel young.

June 17, 2021 - It had all American Chardonnay characters, intense nose of sweet fruits and flowers, silky palate, mouthful structure and long after taste. However I prefer French Chardonnay of the balance of taste and elegance.
