December 25, 2023 - Xmas day dinner, with Filet, roasted potatoes and greens. Just fabulous.

December 16, 2022 - Dealing with a small cold, so wasn’t able to fully enjoy this as much as I could. I splash double decanted this wine and we polished it off quickly. My fiancé loved it. Bottle threw off slight amount of sediment. Vanilla, translucent ruby red in color. If scoring it would probably be a 95 but my nose and palate was off. Will search out for more A&B

April 8, 2022 - Brought to Hall's Chophouse in Columbia SC. An amazing very small production Napa Valley right bank style CF dominant Bdx blend (45% Cabernet Franc, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot) at prime right now with easily another 5-7 years to go with proper cellaring but I also do not see much upside in further cellaring - drink or hold but increasingly leaning on the drink now. Despite the price point it is so good right now that it is actually a reasonable QPR wine. Aired in glasses at tableside with an early pour but if possible would recommend at least a 45-60 minute decant. Almost inky black, no bricking, soft mouth feel, complex and well integrated / balanced, still full bodied and with a beautiful long lingering aftertaste. Very soft and well integrated but still detectable tannins. Nose warmed up slowly with aeration and ended up quite aromatic with dark fruit, red cherry, a sweeter and totally unexpected apricot note that actually made me wonder if apricots were growing in the vicinity of one of the contributing vineyards (fruit sourced from Coombsville, St. Helena, and Atlas Peak AVA's) as well as floral almost tropical notes. Flavor profile with up front integrated oak, plum and blueberry with development of more stoney, earthy and smokey notes including leather and tobacco as well as a brighter vegetal note that I do associate with CF.

July 21, 2016 - Smooth and round in the mouth with tannins that were soft. Medium bodied that was dark garnet in the glass. The nose was full of black cherries, blackberry, vanilla and toasted oak.

This wine is absolutely brilliant now.

January 25, 2016 - Dominated by Cabernet Franc, the medium bodied wine offers a floral, cherry and fresh herb personality in a forward style.
