April 9, 2023 - Still crazy good even at this date. Perfect example of Boushey Vineyard syrah.

November 21, 2022 - 2013 Arnaut Boushey Vineyard Syrah from @avenniawinery - Fermented with native yeasts and 15% whole cluster, plus only 15% new oak, means that the 2013 is a near transparent interpretation of variety and Yakima Valley terroir. It's dark to the core yet vividly fruity in nature with a burst of crushed blackberry complemented by violet pastille and cocoa. This smooths over the palate with soothingly silky textures and ultra-ripe black fruits that are expertly balanced by juicy acidity. Licorice and dark chocolate are lifted by nuances of grilled sage as the 2013 finishes with a gentle tug of residual tannin that keeps this heady experience ground to earth.

May 13, 2022 - Pleasant fruit forward syrah

January 24, 2021 - The bouquet presents notes of blackberry, cedar and leather. The taste is of ripe fruit on the front of the tongue and the tannins are in perfect balance with the ripe fruit. This is the perfect year for drinking this vintage!

October 26, 2020 - Fruit forward syrah, with opening notes of blackberry and dark cherries, before transitioning to chocolate, tapenade, some oak, and a bit of garrigue. This was well structured with a solid tannic backbone. Made in a new world style, with the oak dialed back a bit to let the vineyard peek through.
