December 5, 2021 - Still excellent after 20 years. It has been stored perfectly in that time. Little to no sediment. Decanted for an hour. No off notes, very smooth and still some Silver Oak fruit.

December 19, 2020 - This wine was past it’s prime which is unusual, we are still drinking Silver Oak that is 10 years older that is carrying the distinct fruit, texture and tannins of its younger self. 87

April 12, 2020 - It’s Easter and we’re quarantined so I guess if I was waiting for a special occasion this is it. Open for about 45 minutes now and singing. Full mature. Getting tobacco, spice, a bit of coconut, and vanilla. All smooth and nice. Glad I kept it all these years. Guess I purchased it in ‘04 but no records. If you have it, drink it.

August 30, 2019 - Nose of Black berry, bell pepper, and sage, same on the palate, big body, best bottle of 2000 ever tasted, mouth filling fruit, rich fruit, at peak so enjoy now and over the next 4 years, paired with a Rib Eye In bone Steak which made for a great combination, and a long, flavorful finish and aftertaste.
