June 25, 2023 - Deep purple brick color. Medium body. Muted red/dark fruit with a slight funk and bell pepper on the nose. Very Cab Franc! Mild acidity. Still some forward tannins, but the fruit is definitely in the background with flavors of dark cherry, plum, strawberry and licorice. Drink now and for the next few years.

Nice Chinon, earthy, soil-driven red fruit, stemmy, with nicely refreshing acidity.
Enjoyed with grilled T-bone steaks in Whitefish, MT.
Drink through 2027+. -

May 23, 2022 - Robe still looks youthful. Nose shows cedar and some slight funk with a hint of blueberry. On the palate this is thin and lacking interest. The only thing going for it is the structural balance.
