January 14, 2022 - Blackberry and cassis heavy notes, but somehow lacking structure and definitely shy of complexity, and alas once again I wondered how this is associated with the wonderful and quite spectacular Lynch Bages ???? The nose was pleasant enough in this 2014 second wine, but the finish was barely medium length and I did not appreciate the chewy tannins. Butcher Careys excellent ???? sourced steaks were singing tonight though, enjoyed thoroughly by M, WH, AT, AS and us ?? ?? Not gonna be buying this again!

April 8, 2021 - Bold and perhaps too black fruit forward and slightly one dimensional even after a 12 hour bottle decant... have to say it doesn't stand close to is exclusive and exquisite elder sibling Lynch-Bages. Cheers from Champignon at Oasis Sq ???? today

August 27, 2020 - Well balanced and enjoyable. Can age a bit more but starting to be ready now

July 19, 2020 - Note taken after 2 hours in the decanter, which was needed to open it up. Lovely Pauillac nose, showing graphite, cedar, and cherry. The cherry dominates the palate; there’s also quite a bit of tannin. I’d give this one another 2-3 years to see if the palate tames itself a bit. Will be a nice value if it does.

June 2, 2020 - Toast and murky mushroom and earth on the nose and palate. Acid still good. Body was ok. Finish was long and earthy. For my money, it seems like it's starting to wane just a touch.
