December 10, 2022 - I take my 92 back and bump it to a 93 + pointer! For an almost 10 year old bottle, and usually Janus isn’t one of my fav bottles for some reason. However , this offering held up magnificently .

October 20, 2021 - Meh. Lacking flavor, depth and interest.

July 3, 2016 - Interesting lifted notes red cherries, raspberries, steel, some smoke and a touch of flowers. It's lighter bodied with medium- tannin and nice medium+ acidity. Good length. Maybe it's because of the vintage but it could use a little more mid-palate density. I do like the freshness and the lifted bright aromatics though.

June 16, 2016 - Flawed bottle, even after a 2+ hour decant it was still off. Emailed Hearher for a replacement, we'll see!

June 12, 2016 - Vineyard: stalky, rhubarb, bright red cherry, violet, smoke, roasted beets and forest floor with subtle brown spice. Lighter bodied with brilliant, focused red fruit, red cherry, cool climate raspberry, beet root, sarsaparilla, cola and mushroom. Earthy finish with red fruit, forest floor, hummus, root, portabella. Lively bright acidity with a finish that suggests earth, mineral, rich soil and under ripe red fruits.

    12.1% alcohol
