    August 14, 2021 - Very dark red still. Especially at first this remains quite monolithic and unrevealing on the nose. With more air deep blackcurrant aromas emerge, along with some mulberry and cedar like oak notes. In the mouth initially plush fruit gives way to tannins that remain firmly mouth coating. Tremendous wine with wonderful energy to burn. I suspect in 15 years this will astound but I wonder how many people have the time to wait for that.

    March 13, 2021 - Je suis resté un peu sur ma faim. Les tannins sont poudreux et encore assez présents. Le boisé est de qualité, mais le fruit est en retrait et manque de punch. Je me trompe peut-être, mais j’ai l’impression que ce fut un millésime difficile pour Sapaio. Même s’il a la structure pour vieillir encore, je doute qu’il s’améliore. Assurez vous tout de même de le carafer pour lui permettre de s’ouvrir un peu.

    November 26, 2020 - Deep, dark and full-throated with blackcurrants, cedar with a hint of black pepper. Really opened up on day 2 with a dried herbs and fresh mushroom. Dry, rounded acidity, structured tannins, palate follows through. Medium full body. Great balance. Medium long finish. Great QPR, give it time to open up.
