November 4, 2023 - 25th Annual Lyon 10 Year Retrospective (Lyon Down Inn): Nice mix of red and black fruit supported by iron/mineral and herbal notes. Structure more obvious on day 2 =92pts.

September 15, 2023 - Really excellent, and tremendous value for the $50 price point. Rich, layered, deep, wonderful balance of fruit - principally blackberry and plum but hints of raspberry, black cherry, and bramble - balanced with mouthcoating tannins and just enough acidity. Secondary notes of tar, pepper, and maybe green olive, but mostly just a remarkably balanced and delicious red blend with layers and layers of depth. Gave it a 2 hour decant, and it was still opening and evolving in the glass.

March 4, 2023 - Great bottle. Cork was in great shape. Black cherry, black licorice, boysenberry. Full bodied, long finish. A great wine for the price.

December 16, 2022 - Decanted 2.5 hours. Seems about right. About a 94 for smoothness. Would try again in 2025.

March 20, 2022 - Very busy Sonoma Red Estate blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (45%), Malbec (30%), Petite Verdot (12%), Carmenere (5%), Syrah (4%) and Merlot (4%). Beautiful dark purple color. Lovely aromas of ripe berries, currants, plums, leather and coffee. The plush pallet features those same dark fruits along with hints of black licorice and graphite. Sweet and toasty oak shines through on the long and silky finish. Bright acidity keeps the wine fresh tasting and well balanced. Outstanding!
