December 8, 2018 - Consistent with previous tasting notes. This is an extremely big pinot noir, and if you approach it with "pinot noir" in mind, you'll find it to be a caricature. If you simply approach it as "red wine", however, it does deliver pleasure - ample fruit, some spice (although that is dominated by the fruit), a bit of tannin, and a reasonably smooth texture on the finish. It has to be said - not a great QPR.

July 22, 2018 - This is my third bottle of this vintage and while this is a nice PN its price and flavor profile do not match IMO.

Lighter purple color with limited clarity. This wine was decanted for an hour and that was good, this is a little tight yet but not bad. Aroma's of cherry, earth and cola, light yet detectable.

Medium body with a continuous acidity streak. Red cherry, strawberry, some cola and earthy elements round out the flavor profile. Not a very complex Pinot but drinking well and really pairs nice with soft cheeses.

One assumes (wrongly) that a high price will yield high flavors or complexity and that is not the case for this Pinot. Great flavors and drinking well none the less.

January 27, 2018 - consistent with notes of 7/28/2016 - Again, comments were that this didn't taste like a pinot, more like a syrah. Brings up the question of typicity, as this an excellent wine that does not taste like anything Burgundy would produce. Since this is my 2nd consumed bottle I was not surprised.
