July 1, 2019 - My in-laws were over for dinner again (they only live 100 meters away) and since my mother-in-law prefers sweet wine, I thought this would be a good choice. I received it almost three years ago as part of a mystery case from Last Bottle and pretty much forgot about it until now. I have to say I like both the liter bottle and the screw-top closer and the contents are not that shabby either. Still fairly light in the glass with a light straw hue with the slightest hints of yellow. Flinty with pear fruit on the nose and a nice tartness on the palate. This is not going to set the bar for German Riesling, but it just might make your mother-in-law happy. thedrunkencyclist.com

October 21, 2018 - Inoffensive but uninspiring riesling that's a good fit for sushi and raw bar and the like, or aperitif porch pounding, but soon forgotten. Very light yellow color. It's a little aromatically tight, with a little apple, pear, lemon, and chalky minerality showing. Medium body, medium(+) acidity, short finish, and flavors of apple, pear, lemon/lime soda, and minerality. I like this 1L format.

June 16, 2018 - The wine has high acidity. The body is light. The wine finishes short. It tastes like pear and apple. The wine has smooth texture. Just average

March 12, 2018 - A pretty good Halbtroken. Nice sweetness, not too dry but right where a halbtroken should be. Good fruit and acidity. A bit thin and slightly out of balance on acidity....should be a little less acid when trying to balance that half-way line so both the fruit and acidity show.

January 2, 2017 - Pop and pour. Overall good, but not a fan of the sweetness.

November 18, 2016 - White floral nose, underripe peach, honeydew. The palate is all citrus... lime, stone, mineral. Off dry with nice acidity. Solid wine overall. Overdelivered.

September 11, 2015 - Peach, stone fruit, apple, honeydew, floral nose. Flavors of peach, golden delicious apple, some spice. Slight spritz, crisp acid, short but refreshing finish with a hint of Meyer lemon. Good value.
