  February 4, 2020 - This wine has no visual evidence of faults. It's a deep purple in color with a ruby to garnet rim. The nose smells of leather, ripe plums, a hint of candied apple, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and a little fig. The palate doesn't have much fruit left on it, but the leather and eucalyptus are certainly there. This wine is bone dry, with medium acidity, medium+ tannin, and medium+ body. As a 2013 vintage, this 6+ year bottle of wine should have been more complex and still had plenty of fruit on the palate. Overall, I judge this wine to be of only acceptable quality.

  Medium acidity. Nose is muted. Wet cardboard, slight umami and ripe plum on the nose. Slightly tart cherry flavor and purple berry flavor. Garnet color, fast legs. Heavy tannin in the mouthfeel. Medium short finish

  January 7, 2018 - Very good. Easy to drink, offering a straight-forward, welcoming cup of dark fruit and berries and a nice fuzzy texture. Great for the money.
