July 20, 2013 - This wine did not deliver the expectation i had for a Villa Creek wine. It showed a single dimension with some basic fruit. It had a mid length finish but it was not an exciting wine.
July 29, 2012 - DEEP BERRY FRUIT IN THE NOSE AND FLAVOR, BLACKBERRIES, CURRANTS, AND BLACK CHERRIES. MEDIUM TO LONG FINISH.
January 27, 2012 - Tasted a few weeks ago, but remember this as very good.
August 3, 2010 - Medium body that seemed to get fuller over the night. Dark berry and alcohol aromas. Lots of blackberry and blueberry fruit with a seamless and pleasant finish. Quite a bit of heat.
June 15, 2010 - Popped and poured. Medium-bodied wine that is dark magenta in color. On the nose, dark berries and licorice. On the palate, blackberries, blueberries, light citrus and vanilla oak on the very long 30-40 second finish. Fairly well balanced in view of the considerable alcohol level...plenty of fruit and structure in play. This one is definitely a cocktail wine.
September 12, 2009 - Stuffed with ripe fruit, creme de cocoa, Dr Pepper, fresh brewed coffee and vanilla bean. What a great wine, layered and thick but not overdone. Yummy!
March 6, 2009 - Chewy and delicious; a strawberry Pop-Tart of a wine. Lots of fruit on the nose and in the mouth from the very start, without discordant notes. Purple, jammy appearance, with a fair amount of fine particulate matter. Scrumptious.
February 28, 2009 - Wonderful wine. Still young though noticeably more balanced than when last drunk. Quintessential Paso red rhone blend.
September 20, 2008 - Decanted 1.5 hours. Lots of good fruit.
April 15, 2008 - Excellant balance. Big black fruits - nice tannins. Great QPR.
