  May 1, 2023 - Dunkles Bordeauxrot, schöner Glanz. Leicht animalische Nase, braucht viel Luft, es zeigen sich wieder Aromen von Torf, dazu Rauch, Leder, sehr schöne Komplexität. Am Gaumen straffer Auftakt, unglaublich saftig mit rotbeeriger Frucht, wieder rosa Grapefruit, dann auch würzige Komponenten, erstaunlich frisch und knackig und mit Gerbstoffe von sehr guter Qualität ausgestattet. Komplex und mit einer grossartigen Säure sehr frisch und lang im Abgang. Ein sauberer, präziser Montus mit Reserven, 2018-2028, 18 vvPunkte (90/100) www.vvwine.ch

  January 29, 2022 - This btl has a strong taste of … PEANUT BUTTER!
  That's a first for me.
  
  Other than that, not the best Montus, but happy to drink scores of this. Love the style, the umpa-umpa and the good dollop of tannins. Dark fruit without brambles does it for me! Like a drug…
  
  Still just a baby, but what a phat one ;-)
  
  Without the peanut butter component, this would climb a few notches. And as it matures, it most certainly will climb upwards. This is never going to be enjoyable for the fruit-gobbers of this world.

  January 14, 2022 - Listen, the tannins are a lot. Is there more to the wine than that? Kind of. There are dark black fruits, fig, leaf tobacco, vanilla, cloves, cigar box, dried blackberry, and game meat. But there are also those tannins - high, firm, grippy, lingering. It is austere. But it is also great.
