April 4, 2021 - Not the kabinett I expected... . far too sweet and unremarkable

September 14, 2020 - Heavy spritz, primrose colour; assertive bouquet, phenolic, limes, unripe mango; razor sharp acidity, quite sweet, loose feel; tart finish. Time may tame

September 22, 2018 - AP 03 15. Based on my overwhelmingly positive experience with Fritz Haag (including the 2012 and 2015 vintages of this same wine), this wine was a massive disappointment. Very few vintners managed to overcome the shortfalls of the 2014 vintage, and unfortunately this wine was up against some steep limitations. All the green, unripe, and vegetal characteristics are showing through and it finishes with a distinct feinherb note (with only 8% ABV). Oddly short pallet leaves an almost fungal aftertaste. It did still have the beautiful Haag mouthfeel and an effervescent start, but it wasn't able to overcome the limitations.

I tried multiple bottles of this, thinking I might have stumbled onto a rogue; but with similar experiences. Drinkable, but adds no joy to life.

July 16, 2016 - I am with GO74 on this - slightly spritzig and lacking character - maybe a different batch from earlier notes?

May 1, 2016 - Slightly unbalanced- too sweet for its lower than medium acidity. Couldn't drink much- cloying. Wife liked much more than I.
