August 1, 2015 - PnP. Very nice pale salmon color. No detailed notes since I brought this to a restaurant and enjoyed it out on the patio. Certainly lived up to the expectations set by CRISTIAN_M. This wine didn't have that certain stemminess found in many other roses. The acid level is completely in balance and there's a certain viscosity to it that gives it a nice mouthfeel...almost as if a small percentage underwent ML. A little too easy to drink...

This wine has totally turned me upside down on that though. This rose' is really really good. Fresh, young, deep, pleasing with an acidic zing. Its a fabulous summer time sipper. For a rose' its very complex and lacks that burning aftertaste that I so often get from other rose's. I've never had one made from carignan, but whatever the dudes at Porter Creek are doing with this one. I like it! At only 60 cases production though (according to Jonathan at the tasting room), its hard to stock up on this stuff. Doubt it will age past a few months, so I'm busy sharing with family and friends.
