December 24, 2023 - A bit reserved on the nose, but perhaps some yellow fruit notes. There is nice intensity in the mouth. Stones, ripping acids, lemon/apple blend. This is clean and sharp with enough fruit to also be delicious. (Not much beeswax in here though.)

    Tasted non blind.

Light yellow to yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of petrol, quince, apricot and flowers. Flavors of quince, apricot and peach pit. Bright acidity, medium to full bodied. Drink or hold.

December 24, 2020 - Light yellow. Nose is typical for age, grape and origin, showing notes of petroleum and citrus. Mouthfeel is mature, bone dry, with nice acidity and notes of petroleum and citrus.

Entry level from Trimbach, keeps well, but no need to keep it any longar. Nice, simple entry level riesling showing quite well now.

November 27, 2020 - So!...second bottle of this vintage , exactly a year after the first bottle reviewed .
Received as a birthday gift in April , from a friend with temperature controlled cellar...better provenance than the first bottle in 2019.
On nose: limes, forest floor and warm stones.
On palate: all of the above flavours, enhanced , in addition to complex notes of elderberry, persimmon ,a ghost of petrol and green peach, with tart green apple.
The entry level Riesling of Trimbach, bone dry, without being thin , with lively acidity ...7 years old.
A fine companion to Salmon , roast potatoes and red cabbage.

October 10, 2020 - I enjoyed this more than previous bottle; it has really high acid, but also lovely stone and fruit, granny smith apples with satisfying mouthfeel. 90+ today

August 20, 2020 - Opened this and thought this smells *exactly* like a Kientzler Osterberg.....I wish I knew the vineyard percentages on this (anybody know?), but I suspect quite a bit of it comes from the environs near the winery, but what do I know?

November 27, 2019 - Well....I found an orphan bottle of 2013 , in with my 2016 bottles of this wine.
On nose: faint sea breeze , minerals and sea salt ....no petrol notes.
On palate: crisp , tart refreshing notes of slate, smoke, green apples and lime in addition to the above ,absolutely bone dry , lean without being thin....now 7 years old and a good food wine for shellfish .....likely will not improve with aging .

March 23, 2019 - A bit muted relative to other bottles from different vintages. Maybe an off bottle. Lighter acid and warmer flavors. More chenin blanc like than riesling.

March 7, 2019 - Very good value. Lemon with a hint of peach and good acidity. I prefer in the warmer months but felt like a Riesling . Should always have a case in the cellar
