August 29, 2022 - So good and perfect balance. I would add to any cellar.

December 29, 2021 - This was good. Really good. Not sure what the other reviewers didn’t experience - this had loads of classic flavors and the age helped it show tar, earth, cigar and more that for me made this a “wow”.

December 28, 2021 - Over the top. Sweet syrupy fruit. Some acid but still out of balance. Fades pretty quickly. Not my style of wine.

June 14, 2021 - Was a bit worried looking at the other tasting notes but must say I’m leaning more towards Halliday on this one. I found it an ideal blend: bringing the best out of each grape. I did decant for an hour based on previous reviews. I must say it came together extremely well: very smooth and yet still some power from the shiraz

January 14, 2021 - After all the notes, I was hoping everyone was wrong. They were not. It is weak. Very weak.

October 12, 2020 - It's good juice, I just wish they'd leave the Viognier out. A bit more acidity and thinness than I want from my Shiraz. I love the big, over-the-top Shiraz that Aussies often offer AND the cool climate Syrahs as well, and both handily beat the Viognier-blended Shiraz in my opinion. For the money there's a lot out there that I like more. 87-88 pts.

August 2, 2020 - Opened yesterday, notes from Day 2 open. Very tasty: ripe red fruit, cola, blackberry, but some olive to back it up..cleary fruit dominated. On the palate, good acidity, some herb/green olive notes, more cola. Soft tannin on the slightly spicy finish. This was a fun btl to drink.

April 13, 2020 - The nose started out with dark fruits, a bit reserved and tight at first. After some time in the glass, the wine got deeper and fruitier on the nose, with just a hint of oak and a hint of pepper emerging. On the palate, it's medium + bodied, with good (but restrained) black fruits and a slightly metallic/mineral finish which adds to the slight bitterness. I think this has aged well, and might have more time to develop, but it's drinking well now and for fans of the style, it's a tasty wine.
