March 30, 2022 - World class and very interesting dessertwine!
    Love this style.

Insanely intense on the nose, offering sweet dried fruit, spices and lots of oxidation. First to hit the nose (with the oxidation) was a powerful scent of walnuts, matcha, Brown soft soap and dried figs. Complimented by yellow raisins, a touch of cognac, orange oil, caramelized citrus, soured cream, cinnamon and more caramel.
There’s a hint of wood varnish, that were gone on day 2.
It’s rich, oily a textured on the palate, very sweet balanced by a nice fresh acidity. Very silky and viscous. Dates, yellow raisins, baked yellow apple, grilled banana, dried papaya, sugar-roasted almonds, milk chocolate, ginger, caramel, hints of curry and ‘plum in Madeira’. Super long and slightly salt finish. Lots of oxidative notes on the tongue too.

May 2, 2021 - Wow what a surprise. This was a great sweet wine. Lots of interesting notes, but subtle. Will need to explore more of these wines.

August 16, 2019 - Another surprise hit at the Jura tasting, where the audience usually balks at any hint of RS. I think the weird production process made them more open to the experience. The character of the marc was really evident: green tannins of stems and seeds, with grappa-like kerosene flavors, but all floating on the rich raisiny sweetness of the underlying juice. Macvin is so weird and fun. I should be drinking more of it.

October 23, 2017 - Yes plastic, yes chemical, yes zucchini all just on the nose! and imho very enjoyable on the palate, caramel and butterscotch?? Really the most interesting bottle I have opened in a long time. Opened this last night when Adam and Lea came over for dinner because I knew he was the only possible person that I know who might enjoy something this interesting :)

October 22, 2017 - God help me, but somehow it's zucchini bread as David_t says below. Plenty of chemical on the nose, as others have noted. Bizarre,, but as others have said, oddly enjoyable.

January 1, 2017 - Again unique. I still get the mineral spirits on the nose, this time squash not zucchini as the secondary aroma. The palate is mostly caramel/butterscotch. Consistently sweet compared to my first bottle but balanced by minerala notes. Not young but not showing any signs of aging either.

November 21, 2016 - I like fortified white wine but I didn't care for this. Will not buy again, as it's expensive. I paid $24 for a half bottle.

July 26, 2016 - opened on a whim late into the night (too late)..did not give much air...golden color..consistent with others notes of grappa, petrol, chemicals (crazy glue?) and almonds on the nose...fortified, apples, caramel, funk, extremely unique..need to try this again with more air and much earlier in the night..these Jura wines have my mind wrapped in a pretzel
